"A young person graduates college, works two years for the local CPA, passes the CPA exam and becomes a member of the AICPA. This young person now becomes the controller of the local plumber and works there for three years. Under this program, for an additional payment of dues is now a Chartered Global Management Accountant."I ask you "Would you hire this person based on that credential?"I believe it is in the conference brochure.
I guess I posted the new information in the wrong area. The holtel will now take a credit card guarantee and charge your card the deposit on May 1, 2011. The Conference Team has come through again. See you all in Orlando.

- If any of you were in Baltimore in June and attended the session that was given by Gail Nikol Trugman on Knowledge Preservation you will understand fully the benefit of using outside experts. As one myself who assists companies with accounting, internal controls, audit preparation and due diligence for merger and acquisition activity, I see this first hand. I also function as Interim or Part-time CFO for companies in gorwth mode or in turnaround situations, even bankruptcies. Choosing the right expert and utilizing them efficiently will really make your life easier to handle day to day and through those though projects. Don't be afraid to "Know what you do not know".

The Long Island Chapter presented a two hour CPE session on this topic to the Hauppauge Industrial Association, a trade organization of over 1,000 companies. It was well attended and very well received. This is the first in a series of cooperative efforts between the two organizations.
