    Title:
    CMA Part 2 Prep
    Content:

I hope to write part 2 sometime in October but I feel like I haven't covered a lot. It looks like the more I study, the more I still need to cover. I bought Glein book but I'm wondering if the materials covered in the book is enough. Has anyone relied solely on Glein and passed part 2? I've heard part 2 is the most voluminous part. I claimed exemption from the first part so I haven't had any experience with any of the parts. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

I used Gleim for all 4 parts and passed all 4 parts the first time.  Part 2 was definitely the hardest for me.  I used the Gleim Books, Audio CDs, and Online presentations and tests.  I also reviewed the summaries at the end of each chapter once a week.  In all it took me about 3 months to study for this part.

I used Gleim for all the parts, only the Gleim books. Understanding all the 20 units in the book is enough to pass the test. If you have cost accounting knowledge background, it may be more easier than you to understand.

Thanks everyone. I have cost accounting knowledge so I guess the Glein book will be enough. I appreciate your comments, they are all I need.

I just passed Part 2 today with a 640. I passed Part 1 with a 630 even though I spent significantly more time reviewing that section(maybe 15 hours for Part 1 vs 5 hours for Part 2). If you are solid with your cost accounting and financial accounting basics it should require very little extra study. If your educational background is in accounting(and not too much time has elapsed) it's not hard. Just do the online practice test, if you are getting 75's or above on your first try you'll probably do okay.

I just bought GLiem exam pre-part 2 CD. I compared it to the IMA professional learning center online exercises. It seems that Gliem CD covered more exercises. During the real exam, is the question quite similar as Gliem CD pre exam exercises or IMA professional learning center online exercises?

Part 2-Topic 5 seems quite difficult, during the exam, the questions of topic 5 are more calculated questions or concept test?

      Many thanks in advance

According to my experience, most of the section 5 questions require calculations, and can be quite complicated (e.g. diluted earnings per share). So the candidate must have a solid understanding of the key concepts and be familiar with the calculation procedures.

      Hi all

I just take cma part two today and really it was so bad score(370)

i thought i do well so the score surprised me..the IT part was so hard ,budgeting so long and FAR not this hard one as the book

      My questions are

1-The suitable materials(i already used Gliem book and cd ,Hawk cd and online IMA questions) ?

2-How to plan my study time?

3-How i study IT parts (i think i made all answers wrong today in this part)

so please it will be nice if you posting your feedback

note:i'll take the exam again next may
