In my opinion, nothing can prepare you more for the exam than studying the retired exam and sample questions straight from the IMA website. These can get you accustomed to the format and type of questions found on the exam. As far as a study couse is concerned--I took Exam Matrix and passed every part the first time.
I accessed the retired exam questions from the previous version of the IMA website. I don't see that the questions are available for free anymore. But, if the support package contains retired questions, I would buy it.
Related to this subject--studying retired CPA exam questions helped me pass that exam, as well.
I'm not sure if the support package includes the retired questions. This is the description from the IMA site:
"IMA CMA Part 3 Online Assessment Version 2.0 is the test that is designed to help you assess your knowledge of the material covered in the CMA Part 3 exam and plan your study."
Bridget, I used Hock for Part 1 and passed the exam on my first try. I'm using their materials now for Part 3 and they're good, but I'm also having to refer to my old college textbooks here and there. I think it really depends on how long it's been since you previously studied the same topics, if at all.
Bridget, I am currently studying Hock and Gliem for the new Part 2 of the exam. I find that Hock goes into much more detail than Gliem. Hock also gives examples in the text that are more reflective of the real CMA questions.

The retired exam questions - Are you referring to the support package that cost $25.

Does anyone know where to get retired questions?
Also, has anyone used to hock study material? Any comments good or bad will be helpful.
thanks,
Bridget
