I just found out that literality 20 seconds away from our hotel is Landmark Theatres. Now, you are probably wondering why Landmark Theaters is something to blog about – it’s just a movie theater. Well that is where you are mistaken. It’s it not just your average movie theater, it is a recognized leader in the industry for providing its customers entertaining films in a sophisticated atmosphere. They offer in-theater sales of DVD’s, books and CDs, a selection of gourmet concession items (such as crab cakes), cocktails, and seating so comfortable that you could almost fall asleep in. This is going to be one stop I have to make, when coming to Baltimore for the Conference. If you want more information visit www.landmarktheatres.com.
Baseball season is now in full swing. Keep up-to-date with the Baltimore Orioles and/or the New York Yankees, so you know who to cheer for Wednesday’s (June 9th) game. Make sure you wear your IMA shirt you will be receiving at the Conference. Let’s have IMA take Camden Yards by storm!
Also, don’t forget that Jonathan D. Mariner, Executive VP & CFO, Major League Baseball (MLB) will be speaking at this year’s Conference. Be sure to check out his session - Swinging for the Fences: Driving Value in Major League Baseball – where he shares his insights on value creation, risk management and internal controls, financial planning and budgeting, talent management, and the industry in general.
